1st World Outgames Launch All-New Online Store
Montréal, 20 February
2006 – The all-new 1st
World Outgames online
store was launched this week. ‘E-shoppers’
will find all the latest clothing and accessories
for men and women carrying the insignia of the
Outgames, the largest LGBT event in history.
“Visitors to the online store
will have a choice between a ‘souvenir’
collection and an ‘athletic’ collection,
as well as a ‘fashion’ collection
produced by a well-known Québec designer,”
Ms. Louise Roy, Montréal 2006 CEO, was
pleased to announce. “There will also be
an ‘exclusive’ collection that will
be added in the weeks to come, offering unique
collector’s items. We encourage visitors
to browse our online store regularly, since the
variety and selection will be rapidly growing
and changing. It is the largest collection ever
offered for this kind of event. More than 100
different articles will be available for sale
between now and the Outgames."
Last October, Integrus Brand Solutions,
known in Québec as Signa Marketing Inc.,
a group specialising in merchandise for major
events, was awarded the contract to design and
manage the Outgames product line and stores, both
online and on-site during the games. Signa Marketing
supplied the popular souvenir items and apparel
for the XIth FINA World
Championships, which were held in Montréal
last summer.

2006 Co-President and Olympic medalist is pleased
to be working with Signa Marketing, whose reputation
and track record have made them a leader in event

World Outgames has found yet another innovative
way to raise the standards of LGBT sport."
Official
4,000 Square-Foot Store in Montréal’s
Gay Village
The Signa Marketing team will
offer the media a sneak preview of the Official
1st
World Outgames Store in April. Located in the
heart of Montréal's Gay Village, the 4,000
square-foot store will be open to the general
public from July right through to the end of the
Outgames. Another four outlets will be added at
major Outgames competition sites.

2006: A Profile
The 1st World Outgames Montréal
2006 Organising Committee is a not-for-profit
organisation. The Outgames will be the
largest LGBT event ever held, with more
than 16,000 registered participants and
almost 250,000 visitors. The sport, cultural
and Conference programmes will be held
from 26 July to 5 August 2006. Thirty-five
sports disciplines will be represented
during seven days of competitions. Participants
from around the world and from over 120
different countries are expected. Opening
and Closing Ceremonies will cap off the
sports competitions, which are open to
all, plus three official parties organised
by BBCM, creators of the famous Black
& Blue annual dance parties. An international
rendez-vous not to be missed!
For the first time in the
history of LGBT sport, the 1st World Outgames
will be televised during prime time on
Radio-Canada, Canada’s national
public broadcaster. International sponsors
