GLISA |

Bravo
to Equipo México
This month GLISA
salutes Equipo
Mexico, a GLISA
member club,
for breaking
through to receive
mainstream television
and radio coverage
for the LGBT
sport community.
“An LGBT
sport club making
the nightly
news in this
country is historic,”
said Said Pulido.
“We get
to share our
excitement and
promote what
we are doing,
building support
in both the
LGBT and mainstream
communities.”
Said and other
members of Equipo
Mexico will
be hosting a
1st
World Outgames
registration
day at the end
of October to
build on the
momentum and
enthusiasm generated
from recent
media exposure.
At
the recent GLISA
1st
Delegate Congress,
sharing strategies
that work to
build legacy
and partnerships
was stressed
as an essential
part of GLISA’s
mandate to continue
growing global
LGBT sport.
GLISA will be
sharing communication
strategies with
other member
clubs that translate
into success
in traditionally
challenging
LGBT markets
around the world.

EGLSF
Sends Letter
of Support for
Copenhagen 2009
The European
Gay and Lesbian
Sport Federation,
recognizing
Copenhagen’s
vast tradition
of hosting LGBT
sport tournaments
and its highly
motivated and
qualified sport
leaders, has
sent a letter
of support to
the Board of
GLISA for the
hosting of the
2nd World Outgames
in Copenhagen.
The EGLSF and
GLISA share
a commitment
to continue
developing LGBT
sport in regions
of the world
where there
is lacking a
liberal or LGBT
friendly environment.
In the spirit
of partnership,
GLISA looks
forward to working
with the EGLSF
and Copenhagen
to further develop
LGBT sport in
Europe, particularly
in areas of
eastern and
central Europe.

Among others,
one Asian chorus
and two from

have just registered.
The 1st

announcing the
final format
for the mass
chorus event,
in which individual
singers can
register to

of choruses

Like
most choruses,
Montréal’s

rehearsing and
preparing activities
for the 2005-2006
season. And,
of course, they
are hard at
work preparing
their programme

summer! As well,
two other Montréal

registered for
the Outgames:
Ganymede and
the Chœur

[Gay Men’s
Chorus of Montréal].
Promotional
Video
During
one rehearsal,
chorus members
prepared a video

invite choral
groups from
